A 'SMASHING' START TO 2009 FOR ACCORD LETS IN LEAMINGTON
29 January 2009
THE number of properties rented out by Accord Lets during January this year is already up 35% on the same month in 2008, providing an excellent start to the year for the town's premier letting agency.
"Our target was a 10% increase on last year and we smashed it by 25%," said Carl Mimmack, founder and managing director of the family-run company, which has specialised in letting for almost 20 years.
"We look after our landlords well with a range of services honed over two decades of listening and responding to their needs.
"We also look after our tenants and people know they can expect excellent service and a property to suit their needs and budget, which is why so many make us their first choice."
The number of people looking to rent is no doubt shored up by the difficulty in obtaining mortgages due to the credit crunch, but this was expected to be tempered by the large numbers of job losses so it appears Leamington is not suffering as badly as other parts of the Midlands.
"We felt a 10% increase on January 2008 was a reasonable target and never expected to smash it by a further 25%," said Carl.
"It is good news for landlords and an indication that Leamington is weathering the recession reasonably well so far".
